Description: The course is delivered in 16 educational hours, in the course of four days, where students discuss the organization and the operability of the United Nations Organization and of peace missions. The course covers theory of current civilian-military coordination relevant in our contemporary global context, and the practical work of peacekeepers deployed in peace missions with tasks directly or indirectly linked to civil affairs.
Objectives:
- To prepare and deploy trained peacekeepers in Civilian-Military Coordination.
- Training for the fulfillment of key tasks which will allow implementation, daily analysis and assessment of UN-CIMIC related activities.
- Deliver the basic responsibilities that must be understood and applied by future UNCIMIC officers.
Language: Course delivered in Spanish, materials in English.
Directed to: Commissioned and non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces and Police, and civilians, national and foreign, appointed by their corresponding institutions.
